Mohegan Lake Resident Charged With Punching Man Several Times At Elk's Club

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 46-year-old resident of Mohegan Lake on an assault charge, authorities said.

The arrest came about after a walk-in complaint regarding an assault that had allegedly occurred at the Yorktown Elk’s Club, 590 Waverly Road, on Friday, Aug. 5, police report.

Following an investigation, the suspect, identified as David Yazzetti, was taken into custody Tuesday, Aug. 9 about 4:05 p.m., according to officials.

The suspect allegedly caused a physical injury to a male victim by punching him in the face several times during the incident at the club, police report.

Yazzetti has been charged with third-degree assault, a class A misdemeanor, according to officials.

The defendant was arraigned by Cortlandt Town Justice Daniel F. McCarthy, who issued a temporary order of protection in favor of the victim, police report.

Yazzetti was released on his own recognizance, according to officials.

He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Sept. 8, police report.
