Lawrence Brooks, who was found to have previously been convicted of DWI in 2009, was found to be drunk after a state trooper found him passed over behind the wheel on Feb. 14, state police said.

Because he had been convicted of DWI within the past 10 years, charges against Brooks were elevated to felony status, police said.

The 67-year-old was issued several tickets and later released without bail. He is to answer to the most recent charge in Cortlandt Town Court at 9 p.m. Feb. 29.
