DWI Motorist, 27, Hits Guardrail On Route 202 In Yorktown, Police Say

A 27-year-old Cortlandt Manor resident was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated Thursday following a one-car accident on Route 202.

Zeynep Canpolat was traveling on the westbound side of Route 202 when he drove off the roadway and struck a guardrail, then back onto the roadway across all lanes of traffic, ending up off the roadway on the eastbound side of 2012.

Canpolat was arrested at the scene. He was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital where he was processed and released on his own recognizance.

He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on April 27.
