YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - Giovanni Gaudio of Yorktown Heights died on Dec. 16. He was 90.
Gaudio was born Sept. 3, 1923, in Calabria, Italy, to Eugenio and Rosetta Gaudio. He married Carolina Tarantino and moved to Canada in 1951 and in 1958 came to the U.S. to raise their family. He worked as a laborer and was a member of local 1010.
Gaudio is survived by his sons, Frank and Gene; daughter, Rose Zegarelli; son in-law, Tony; brother, Silvio; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Yorktown Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Entombment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
