Since forming, the organization has become a mainstay known for helping everyone from veterans to the homeless and all in need.
Miritello said they receive no government funding or support and have grown so fast they are looking for volunteers and donations.
"This small idea has grown into a huge operation that helps anyone in need, especially veterans," she said.
On Memorial Day, the group delivered a mattress to a Navy veteran in need in Yonkers. Since Monday, she has helped three more veterans. She handles all of the donations and deliveries herself, including paying for a warehouse to keep all of the donated furniture.
Miritello said she finds a lot of veterans do have housing, but they have nothing to put inside those houses and are often sleeping on the floors.
"My brother wasn't a veteran, and I didn't start out with helping veterans in mind, I just wanted to do something to make sure my brother was remembered," she said.
According to Miritello, the veteran named Chris said "I want give a huge thank you for coming to my aid, it was a total surprise as you know, I am eternally grateful for what you have done for me,"
