Yorktown Teen Steals Beer, Fights Clerk and Police

YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- A 17-year-old from Yorktown has been charged with robbery, a felony, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, after he allegedly stole beer from a gas station. 

Gerard Giblin, of Montross Road, allegedly forcibly stole beer from the Chestnut Mobil station at 2035 Saw Mill River Rd. Police officers Garcia and Dipietrantonio responded to the call of the disturbance at about 2 a.m. Tuesday. After they arrived at the store, the clerk reported the male forcibly stole beer and pushed and bit him. Officers located Giblin, and when they tried to arrest him, he allegedly spit, kicked and attempted to bite them.

Offier Dipietrantonio arrested the male and he was taken to the Yorktown Police Department. He was released on $2,000 cash bail and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 9 at 6 p.m.
