Yorktown Residents Charged for Illegal Fireworks

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - Two people were arrested July 4 for allegedly having illegal fireworks.

According to police, Thomas Budetti, 51, was seen with fireworks in the backyard of his house in Ferncrest Drive in Yorktown. Police went to the house at 9:30 p.m. after receiving calls from several residents in the area who said fireworks were being exploded. He was charged with unlawfully dealing with fireworks and dangerous fireworks, a penal law violation.

Budetti was processed at the scene and issued an appearance ticket to appear in Yorktown Court on August 4 at 6 p.m.

Police said a 17-year-old Yorktown resident also on Ferncrest Drive was charged with the same violations. His name was not released because of his age.
