Yorktown Heights' Commerce Street Closed For Festival

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A portion of Commerce Street, in Yorktown Heights, will remain closed through the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 19, for the Feast of San Gennaro.

This part of Commerce Street will be closed for the Feast of San Gennaro for a few more days.

Commerce Street is closed between Downing Drive and Kear Street. The Yorktown Police Department notes that the driveways on Commerce Street for the Shell Station, Yorktown Green and Underhill Plaza will also be closed to traffic.

The event -- a salute to the patron saint of Naples -- began Thursday evening, with the opening procession with the sacred statue of Saint Gennaro. The feast features Italian food, beer and wine, rides and games, and live entertainment.
