Yorktown Flea is located on the Fireman's Field on Veterans Road in Yorktown Heights in the center of town, with coffee shops, restaurants and stores all within walking distance. The market will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

"We opened late in the season last July, but managed to generate a good crowd on most dates anyway," said Yorktown Flea's Ellen Gershman. "This year we have many new vendors and most of our vendors from last year will be with us again."

The vendors vary from goods including art, collectibles, furniture, vintage clothing, household items, jewelry and a host of other specialties and surprises, Gershman said.

The market will be open June 9 and 16 before going to an every-other-week schedule until the end of October. Admission to the public and parking are free.

Advanced registration is necessary for all dealers looking to reserve spaces. Spaces can be reserved at a rate of $40 per space. Dealers interested in selling at the market are asked to call 917-881-6527. For more information, residents can also visit the Yorktown Flea Market website
