Yorktown Administration Poised to Begin on Jan 1.

YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- The first day of the year will also be the first day of a new administration in Yorktown on Sunday.

On January 1, Yorktown supervisor-elect Michael Grace, town board councilman-elect Dave Paganelli, and town justice-elect Gary Raniolo will all be inaugurated as the newest members of the town's administration. Incumbent Yorktown Councilman Nick Bianco. who was re-elected for another term, will also take his oath. 

According to an announcement from Grace's transition team, the oath of office will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Town Hall board room. Oaths of office will be administered by Town Justice Salvatore Lagonia, and Yorktown Councilman Terrence Murphy will act as master of ceremonies. 

The ceremony to take place on Jan. 1 is actually a re-enactment of a swearing in protocol which already took place on Dec. 15 for Grace, Paganelli and Raniolo. Town Clerk Alice Roker administred the offical oaths at the law offices of Grace and Grace.
