What to do this Weekend with the Kids

Check out this list of things to do with the family this weekend, and be sure to let us know what you’re planning to do! 

Relay for Life will take place this Friday and Saturday. The event runs from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday. For more information about the different events at Relay, visit the site here.          

This weekend at Hilltop Hanover farm is an open house/tour and a birdhouse decorating workshop. Tours are at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and will take you on a tour of the farm, learn about the different projects they house, and visitors can pick their own vegetables. You can also stop by the farm to create your own Father’s Day birdhouse. Starting at 10 a.m. you can decorate your own birdhouse that would make a great father’s day gift. While the tour is free and registration is not required, call 914-962-2368 to register for the birdhouse workshop and the cost is $20 per birdhouse. 

This weekend Brian J. Slavin Aquatic Facility at Shrub Oak Park, Sparkle Lake and Junior Lake Pool at Memorial Park are all open. Junior Lake Pool & Brian J. Slavin Aquatic facility will be open this weekend from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.  In order to use Yorktown facilities, you must bring your Yorktown Parks & Recreation ID card. 

Please note that the John C. Hart library will be closed this Sunday.
