Two bomb threats called into schools in Westchester County are being treated as separate events until police learn otherwise.
On Tuesday, Crompond Intermediate School in Yorktown received a bomb threat, as well as the Montessori School in White Plains, located at Burke Rehabilitation hospital. In both cases, the threats were deemed non-credible and empty, and all students and staff were permitted to continue with their day.
Hours after the event, police are treating the incidents separately, unless they learn the incidents are connected, according to White Plains Public Safety Commissioner David Chong.
Right now [the Montessori School] is considered separate, Chong said, But our detectives will be in communication with Yorktown detectives.
