Student Arrested for Stealing Lakeland Computer

A 16-year-old student was arrested for stealing an Apple MacBook computer from Lakeland High School.

According to police, Joshua J. Lindsey of 670 east Main Street is being charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony, for stealing the computer owned by the Lakeland Central School District on May 24, 2011. He was arrested on May 31 for the larceny charge and was released on an appearance ticket and released to a family member. He is due in Yorktown court on July 5.

 

Other news from the Yorktown Police Department:

• Two women were arrested for allegedly entering a North Deerfield home unlawfully on June 5. Elane C. Curry and Jessica A. Markumas, both 23 of Shrub Oak, entered the residence and reportedly stole property. They were remanded on $1,000 bail to Westchester County Jail.

• Mahopac resident, Stacy A. Spinning, 23, was arrested for allegedly possessing stolen jewelry and selling it at a gold buying store at the Jefferson Valley Mall. The police report said the property was related to burglaries for which the Yorktown police recently made arrests.
