Public Info Session on Taconic Project Thursday

YORKTOWN, N.Y. — An informational meeting for the public on the upcoming Taconic State Parkway project will take place this week.

On Thursday, March 8 at 7 p.m. in the community room of the Jefferson Valley Mall, the New York State Department of Transportation will host the meeting, including a presentation of the project, followed by a question and answer session.

The project, a $26 million construction project is slated to take eight and a half months starting March 26 to rehabilitate the Taconic over the New Croton Reservoir (AMVET Bridge). The project will shut down northbound Taconic lanes from Pines Bridge Road in New Castle to Underhill Avenue in Yorktown.

The community room at the mall is located on the second floor, next to the food court.
