Police: Mahopac Man Intentionally Hit Vehicle, Slashed Tires

YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- A 22-year-old Mahopac man has been arrested after he allegedly intentionally drove into another vehicle and slashed all four tires on the vehicle.

Phillip J. Surette, 21, of 9 Maiden Lane, was charged with criminal mischief, a felony, after police responded to a reported traffic accident September 18 at 8:11 p.m. Police investigation revealed Surette allegedly drove into another vehicle on purpose, exited his own vehicle and proceeded to slash all the tires on the other vehicle.

Surette was located at his home in Mahopac and placed under arrest for alleged intentional damaging of property of another in excess of $1,500.

He was remanded to Westchester County Jail and is due to appear in Yorktown Town Court today at 6 p.m.
