Police Investigate Fatal Taconic State Parkway Crash

EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. – New York State Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

At around 9:30 a.m., 56-year-old Keith D. Vinal of Highland lost control of his 2014 Kia sedan while traveling in the passing lane. His car struck a boulder, causing massive head trauma to Vinal. He was transferred to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No other occupants were in the vehicle.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call New York State Police Troop K Headquarters at (845) 677-7300 and reference case #5847986.
