Police said a call was received from the staff at the Lakeland School District Administration Building reporting that a man had appeared who had an active warrant for his arrest.
Officers responded and identified Reed, police said. An investigation revealed that Reed had an active bench warrant in reference to a past larceny arrest in Middletown, N.Y.
Reed was arrested on the warrant and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. Following processing, he was released to the state police for further processing.
