Held during National Mental Health Awareness Month, MHA on the Move raises awareness for mental health issues, as well as the vital services provided by the organziation.

The event will feature a one-mile kids’ race, a 5K run/walk for adults and families, raffles, entertainment and more. New this year is a guided meditation pre-race, led by Stephanie Filardi of Bronxville Wellness Sanctuary.

Eight-time Emmy Award winner and WCBS News reporter Lou Young kicks off the family-friendly event at 8 a.m. in FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights.

"MHA on the move is an incredible opportunity for residents of Westchester to rally together in support of mental health,” said Amy Kohn, MHA's chief executive officer. “The more people that talk about mental health issues, the easier it becomes for others to talk about it, too. Together, we can continue to erase the stigma surrounding behavioral health concerns.”
