The announcement was made by Bill Badger, Guiding Eyes’ president and CEO.
“We are extremely pleased to name Wendy as our chair,” Badger said. “Countless projects have benefitted from her dedication since she joined the board five years ago. She has brought tremendous energy, knowledge and compassion, and she is fully committed to the success of Guiding Eyes and our graduates.”
Aglietti, a board member since 2007, largely contributed to fundraising efforts for the renovation and expansion of the Canine Development Center in Patterson, a project estimated at $8 million, Guiding Eyes officials said.
“It’s truly an honor for me to serve in this role,” Aglietti said. “I’ve already seen the impressive work that’s been done by Guiding Eyes and I look forward to building upon these achievements.”
Aglietti graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a minor in economics. She began her career as a personnel consultant in the information technology sector and went on to become the operating and financial officer at Roma Design of White Plains.
In addition to her role at Guiding Eyes, Aglietti also volunteers as the chair of the Parents Committee at Ithaca College and serves as an officer of her family’s private foundation. She resides in Bedford with her husband, Paul, and their Guiding Eyes released dog, Jet.
