Yorktown Neighbors Notes by Janesez

Purple, Pink & Peach were popular colors at the Yorktown Prom this year. Many beautiful gowns could be seen and the guys wore ties and vests to match. The Prom Parties were in full swing despite the earlymorning rain. Take a look at Gregg Arlia, with Jenna Fiore, Ryan Jabusch with Kara Cartelli, Joe Calicchia with Marisa Coyle, Giana Dente with John Guastella, Nicolette Triarsi with Mike Mucilli, Katy Cartelli with Colin Sickles, Jenna Brezovsky with Zef Saljanin as they take a group shot before the prom. At another prom party, Jackie Drenga, Diana Brescia, Julia Siklos, Tiffany Catalaon, Marli Kasdan, Meghan Miller, Danielle Garcia, Daniela Yaniv, Yaniv Stern, Francesca Giovanna Ostuni, Jess Phoa, Melissa Pitzel, Molly Ellsworth and Mike Cerabona looked forward to the night ahead of them.

Many Yorktown families had multiple graduations last week. The Brandt Family celebrated Steven’s high school graduation and Ryan’s eighth grade graduation. Their brother, Jason was able to celebrate both events and is looking forward to visiting his brother, Steven at the University of Maryland in the fall. Daniela Yaniv is also off to the University of Maryland and her sister Shellie graduated from 8th grade. Their cars are sure to cross paths on I-95 heading south.

Deirdre Delasho received a Staples “that was Easy” button for her eighth grade graduation from her friend Colleen McCarthy. Deirdre graduated with honors from St. Patrick’s School in Yorktown and received the following awards: the President’s Award for Academic Excellence, the St. Patrick’s Student Parent Association’s award for High Scholastic Achievement, the ELA award, and the Drama award. Who knew how appropriate the “That was Easy” button would be!

Speaking of Staples…I have been there twice recently and I have to say, their motto “that was easy”came through loud and clear for me. The first time I was helped with a camera replacement viawarranty (buying a replacement warranty for $20 for your camera is always a good idea!). On Monday, Steve Cetrone, the General Manager of the Yorktown Staples went over and above his call of duty to print out a photo and have it mounted in time for a Relay For Life Committee Celebration. It is nice when the local box store has knowledgeable and helpful people running it! Speaking of helpful, & knowledgeable people. Check out Orange County Pool in Mohegan Lake fora cool pool or spa experience. Vinnie Moscatell and his team; Carol Cerreto, Ashley Rabbitt, Erin Pozner, John Sassano, Ryan Perreira and Mike Kelly are just a few a few of the crew that can help you “chill” out this summer.
