"When I was in the sixth grade, my family moved from Peru to Ossining, New York. The move proved extremely difficult for me and I struggled with a new language and a new culture. Academically, it was not until high school that I finally found my way and decided to focus on my studies and pursue my interest in art, technology, and design.

While in high school, I became the president of the Hispanic Club where we encouraged young Hispanic students to prepare themselves for a better future in the United States. This is precisely what I am doing as a student at Westchester Community College.

My passion to help other students resulted in the opportunity to become a Student Body Senator on the Student Government Association. I am also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. My goal is to continue to work hard to strive for a bright future. Ultimately, I would like to obtain degrees in Architecture and Engineering."

Westchester Community College is the largest educational institution in Westchester County.  The main campus is located in Valhalla and classes are offered at various extensions throughout the County.
