Scoring a top 10 finish in the Big Cities category, which ranked communities with more than 20,000 residents, were Harrison (fourth), Mount Pleasant (fifth) and Yorktown (sixth).
Leading the way in the Midsize Cities category was New Castle, followed by North Castle (third), Eastchester (fifth), Dobbs Ferry (sixth), Scarsdale (seventh) and Bedford (ninth). The category is for communities who have between 10,000 and 20,000 residents.
Placing in the Small Cities category, for areas with 5,000 to 10,000 residents, were Briarcliff Manor (third), Pleasantville (fourth) and Irvington (sixth).
In all, 13 towns and villages in Westchester and Putnam County placed on the list.
