Yorktown's Taconic Opera To Hold Fund-raiser in September

YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- Yorktown's Taconic Opera will hold its annual fund-raiser at the CV Mansion in White Plains on Sept. 12 at 7 p.m.

The theme for the gala will be "The Yellow Brick Road." The event will feature a meal, entertainment from its top operatic artists, and an opportunity to honor some important individuals who have supported the arts in the community.

This gala will be special and feature a story line throughout the evening that will take us all down that memorable road to our own Emerald City, General Director Dan Montez, said in a statement.

The 16-year-old opera recently expanded performances into the White Plains area, and decided to move its annual gala to into the city this year.

Attendance at the event will be by donation. Gold will cost $250; Silver, $200; and Bronze $150. Donations can be arranged by logging on to www.taconicopera.org or by calling 855-88-OPERA.

The CV Mansion is at 305 Ridge Way in White Plains.
