The funds support the Harrison Apar Field of Dreams Foundation, which benefits recreation and education in our communities.

Harrison Apar died from complications from a rare form of dwarfism in 2003. Since then, his parents Bruce and Elyse have worked to raise funds for Yorktown organizations such as the Yorktown Athletic Club and the Yorktown Teen Center.

Apar received a Citizen of the Year award from the Leo Club youth chapter of the Yorktown Lions Club. The foundation was also named the Yorktown Chamber Organization of the Year in 2010.

Yorktown Athletic Club Golf co-founders David Gorstein and Skip Marini will be honored with the 2013 Harrison Apar YAC PBA Community Service Award.

In addition, two-time Re-Max World Long Drive champion Carl Wolter will hit every golf foursome's tee shot on a Par 5 for you to finish the hole. Wolter's personal record for longest drive is 542 yards.

The entry fee is $195 for golfers over 18 years old, $160 for 18-and-under, $135 for Yorktown Athletic Club golfers registered in the fall program and $60 for non-golfers who wish to attend the reception.
