Video: Yonkers Police Investigate Multiple Incidents Of Mail Theft Police are investigating a series of incidents of mail theft that saw hooded suspects enter mailboxes, steal its contents and take off on foot. The Yonkers Police Department issued a public safety alert on Wednesday afternoon following multiple incidents of mail theft that took place between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, when the suspects targeted several Yonkers Avenue mailboxes. The suspects allegedly have keys to the mailboxes and could pass themselves off as postal employees, investigators noted.
