A person was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Northern Westchester, causing delays, according to the MTA. Shortly before 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, the Metro-North Hudson Line was forced to temporarily delay travel in both directions near the Peekskill station to allow police to investigate the train strike. An MTA train hit a person on the tracks, causing a serious leg wound. According to the MTA, the incident took place around 11:35 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, when the southbound Croton-Harmon-bound train struck the person at the Breakneck Ridge station in Fishkill in Dutchess County. The incident took place around 3:45 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9, in Dutchess County approximately half a mile south of the Pawling station, said MTA officials. The incident happened in Westchester County shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, just south of the Port Chester station, near the Kohl's Shopping Center. Man Airlifted To Westchester Medical Center After Being Hit By Metro-North Train
A man received serious injuries to his leg after being struck by a work train heading north to Poughkeepsie. The incident took place around 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, near the Metro-North Breakneck Ridge Station, said Meredith Daniels, a spokeswoman for the MTA. When police and first responders arrived on the scene they found the man had sustained leg injuries and he was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center, Daniels said. Trains on the Hudson Line were delayed 15 to 20 minutes as a result of the incident. The MTA police are investigating the incident.
