Allegedly Drunk Driver Becomes Combative With Officers During Stop In Westchester, Police Say An allegedly drunk driver who fell asleep behind the wheel became combative with officers attempting to take him into custody in Westchester, police said. An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department on patrol shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, spotted a 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser parked in the middle of Old Lyme Road with the engine running. Police In Scarsdale Investigate False Fire Report Police in Scarsdale are investigating a false report of a fire in the village. Members of the Scarsdale Police and Fire departments responded to an Old Lyme Road residence at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, where there were reports of smoke coming from a home. Upon arrival, police officers and firefighters found no evidence of fire or smoke. Investigators spoke with the homeowner, who said that he did not call, and does not know who called, but noted that this has happened on several occasions.
