Westchester Woman Sentenced For Collecting $60K From Dead Mother's Pension
A Westchester woman admitted to stealing more than $60,000 from her dead mother’s pension payments and will avoid jail time.
Rochelle Rose, 41, who pleaded guilty to grand larceny in April, has been sentenced to five years probation, New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli and Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., announced. She also must pay $60,288 in restitution for stealing from the New York State and Local Retirement System following her mother’s death.
