Home Health Aide In Westchester Charged With Stealing Check From Employer
A former home health aide from Fairfield County is in police custody after allegedly stealing from her employer while taking care of him in Westchester, police said. Bridgeport resident Sheaquana Mowatt, 31, surrendered herself into police custody in Scarsdale on Wednesday, Dec. 19, where she was charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny. According to police, Mowatt allegedly was a home health aide working for a family on Brite Avenue in Scarsdale, when she stole an $1,800 check from her employer and deposited it into her own bank account.
