Small Dog Out For A Walk Now Clinging To Life Following Attack In Yonkers A Yonkers family is hoping the public can help them identify a large dog that attacked a 2-year-old King Charles Cavalier, leaving the small dog clinging to life. The incident took place on Tuesday, Nov. 27 when the 72-year-old owner was taking "Precious" for a walk on Amherst Drive in Yonkers when a large dog came out of nowhere and grabbed the 20-pound dog in its mouth and began attacking the dog, said the elderly woman's daughter, Pamela Stern.
