Crews Battle Brush Fire At Golf Course In Westchester Firefighters battled persistent flames at a golf course in Westchester for more than an hour.  The blaze happened at the Saint Andrew's Golf Course in Hastings-on-Hudson on Tuesday evening, Nov. 5, according to the Dobbs Ferry Fire Department, which helped assist with the response.  Arriving crews battled the fire for around an hour and a half before it was contained, fire officials said. Building Goes Up In Flames At Baseball Field In Dobbs Ferry Firefighters raced to a baseball field in Westchester after an intense blaze ignited at a park building.  The blaze began on Saturday, March 30 around 8:15 p.m., when the park house by the Gould Park baseball field in Dobbs Ferry went up in flames, according to the village's fire department.  Arriving crews soon found smoke pouring from the lower extension of the building and began fighting to put it out. Chimney Fire Leaves Residence Blackened In Dobbs Ferry A fire that originated in a chimney left a Westchester residence with significant damage, including gaping holes in its walls.  The incident happened on Thursday, Nov. 2 around 6:40 p.m. in Dobbs Ferry on Hunters Run. Two-Alarm Fire Severely Damages Home In Westchester A chimney fire severely damaged a home in Irvington on Sunday. The fire was reported to the Irvington Fire Department around 2:59 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at a home on Blueberry Hill Road, said Fire Chief Anthony Tarricone. Arriving firefighters found the flames and smoke contained to the living room and master bedroom he said. Firefighters had to stretch a hose up a long hill to attack the fire due to the location of the home. No residents or firefighters were injured. Irvington was assisted on the scene by Dobbs Ferry, Rivertown, and Hastings fire departments.
