N. Yonkers Youth Football Program Gets Equipment Gift

YONKERS, N.Y. -- The North Yonkers Knights youth football program received a donation of nearly $7,000 of new equipment from Dr Pepper Snapple as part of its Let's Play program. 

The donation of $6,717 worth of football helmets, tackling dummies and footballs will help the Knights continue to play football in a safer environment. 

“We are pleased to support North Yonkers Knights with this grant from Let’s Play, part of our overall commitment to bringing play to life and ensuring that kids are able to make play a daily priority,” Ralph ‘Flaco” Capellan, sales execution managerof Hispanic markets for Dr Pepper Snapple, said in a statement. “We hope that it will make a big difference to kids in the community and give them the equipment and gear they need to get in the game and get active.”
