The workshops will be held in at the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center 1974 Commerce St. Rm 209 in Yorktown (Oct 11, 18, 25) and the Pleasantville Recreation Center 48 Marble Ave. Pleasantville (Nov 01, 08, 15). The workshop will feature panels of experts (local professionals and independent contractors, Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty agents and a Hudson United title specialist) who will discuss the topics homeowners want - and need - to know. Each panelist will give a 10 to 15 minute presentation. After all of the presentations have been completed, a general audience Q&A will follow.
Each of the three workshop sessions will feature a different topic. Session 1: Is your house market-ready? Topics: staging, landscaping, remodeling & improvements. Session 2: What is your house really worth? Topics: home remodeling, code violations, tax grievance, home inspection, title issues, the agents roles in the process. Session 3: What's next? Topics: Planning for the future: financial, legal and tax implications. FSBO or agent? Rent or buy again? Accommodating your returning college grad., moving on to your next great adventure.
