Yonkers Woman Charged With Stealing Cologne From Sears

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A 28-year-old Yonkers resident has been charged with petty larceny, a class A misdemeanor, according to Yorktown police.

Andrea S. Michael Raj was accused of leaving Sears without attempting to pay for $593.99 of merchandise.

On Friday at 7:14 p.m., police received a call from Sears security, reporting a shoplifter in custody, according to officials.

An officer was dispatched to the scene; following an investigation, a woman identified as Andrea S. Michael Raj was arrested, according to police.

Michael Raj was accused of leaving Sears without attempting to pay for assorted cologne and a soap dispenser valued at a total of $593.99, police report.

Following processing at police headquarters, Michael Raj was issued an appearance ticket directing her to answer the charge against her in Yorktown Court on Dec. 3, officials report.

She was then released on $250 bail, according to officials.
