YONKERS, N.Y. — Eight Yonkers residents were displaced and five firefighters suffered minor injuries in a house fire on Warburton Avenue Tuesday night, The Journal News is reporting.
The paper says fire officials believe the blaze was suspicious.
The fire broke out at about 3 a.m. on the second floor landing of a multi-family home at 423 Warburton. Firefighters arrived within four minutes and had the fire under control within a half hour. Five firefighters were taken to a hospital for injuries, mainly muscle strains.
