Waverly Patrick, 53, of 2 Hudson St., pleaded guilty in January to first-degree vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident, both felonies, as well as aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, for his role in the death of 16-year-old Keyairra Price.

He was sentenced Wednesday in State Supreme Court in White Plains.

Prosecutors said Patrick was driving west on Valentine Lane at 9:28 p.m. June 22 when his Jeep Cherokee struck Price, who was waiting to cross the street with a 15-year-old friend on their way to a store.

The impact threw the teenager to the sidewalk while Patrick continued driving toward Riverdale Avenue, police said. Price was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, where she later died.

After the accident, Yonkers police searched for the vehicle and located it several hours later in a parking lot outside Patrick’s apartment building. Patrick was taken into custody and questioned, police said.

Patrick’s blood alcohol level was later found to be in excess of 0.18, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08, prosecutors said.
