Yonkers Man Charged With Driving While Impaired

YONKERS, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged a Yonkers man with driving while impaired by drugs and criminal possession of marijuana on Wednesday morning, according to officials.

Richard A. Morello, 71, was pulled over on the Sprain Brook Parkway for allegedly failing to maintain his lane of travel. Upon investigation, Troopers suspected Morello of being impaired by marijuana and subsequently discovered 25.1 grams of the drug in his vehicle, police said.

Morello is scheduled to appear in Greenburgh Court on Aug. 18, police said.
