YONKERS, N.Y. -- A Yonkers firefighter is gaining national attention for risking his own life to save a teenage girl from a fire on Christmas morning, according to Fox 5 News.
Nee and the teen were transported to Jacobi Medical Center for smoke inhalation where they were treated and released. Nee also received a laceration to his hand.
Engine 313 quickly extinguished the fire that started near the sofa and spread to a Christmas tree.
