Members of the Uniformed Fire Officers Association, who have been working without a contract, or a cost-of-living raise, for seven years, have ratified a new pact, according to a spokesperson from Mayor Mike Spano’s office.
The City Council is scheduled to formally vote on the pact on Tuesday, April 5, the spokesperson said.
According to a report on News12, the deal will give fire officers, such as lieutenants and captains, an approximate 2 percent raise over a 10-year period.
If the City Council approves the pact, fire officers should start getting their raises in July, the News12 report said.
