Upon receiving a report of an unconscious male, responders found the man unresponsive and in cardiac arrest. Officers started CPR before administering an automatic electronic defibrillator on the victim, authorities said.
The victim was transported to Lawrence Hospital and was listed in stable condition, officials said.
“Once again, I want to commend the dedicated Yonkers PD ESU officers for their swift action, which saved the life of a Yonkers resident,” Mayor Mike Spano said in a statement. “On behalf of the city, we thank them for their continued service.”
