The unidentified woman died at the scene and a unidentified man, the driver of the car that slammed into a wall under the overpass at around 1:30 a.m. Monday, was rushed to Westchester Medical Center, according to News 12 Westchester.

The crash resulted in the closure of eastbound lanes on the parkway for several hours between Midland Avenue and I-87.

The accident remains under investigation.
