Neighbors of the unidentified suspect found themselves trapped in, or evacuated from, their own apartments as police swarmed the building in the Jeffrey Park apartment complex early Wednesday morning, the News12 report said.

The three-hour standoff ended when police -- who had gotten their man by breaking into his apartment through a window -- then allowed the rattled residents to go about their everyday business, the News12 story said.
