New York State Police Conduct Speed Enforcement Detail In Yonkers

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - New York State Police troopers issued nearly 100 tickets and made more a pair of drug arrests during a special detail on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers on Thursday.

According to police, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, troopers conducted a speed enforcement detail on the Sprain Brook Parkway that resulted in the issuance of 93 tickets.

In total, New York State Police announced that they stopped 55 drivers for speeding, made 33 stops for other vehicle and traffic violations, five drivers were stopped for not adhering to the "move over law" and troopers made two arrests for marijuana possession.
