On Thursday, acting Westchester County District Attorney James McCarty announced that Nathaniel Grant, 51, has pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter charges after he was apprehended in a strange situation after killing his girlfriend in Yonkers last year.
At approximately 5:30 a.m. on April 1 last year, multiple 911 calls were made to the Yonkers Police Department, describing a “bloodied, naked man walking down Warburton Avenue.”
According to McCarty, when police arrived on the scene, they discovered that he had come from an apartment on Glenwood Avenue, where they found Grant’s 56-year-old victim dead after suffering multiple stab wounds to her heart, lungs and liver\
Before Grant was found by police roaming the streets, neighbors spoke about a commotion coming from the victim’s residence. Grant was taken into police custody at the hospital.
Grant is due to be sentenced on Thursday Dec. 1, where he will face a maximum of 25 years in prison.
