YONKERS, N.Y. — A masked man attempted to abduct a 10-year-old boy from Trenchard Street, Yonkers police said, prompting an extensive canvass of the area Friday, according to a story on LoHud.com.
The man, wearing a black ski mask and black baseball hat and driving a gray sedan, pulled up beside the boy as he was walking on the sidewalk to a school bus stop at 8 a.m., police said, according to the website's story.
The man asked the boy to approach the car and when he didn’t, the man got out of the sedan and started walking toward the boy, police said, according to the website's story. The boy then ran and the man got back in the car and left, according to the website's story.
