YONKERS, N.Y. - A 32-year-old man was fatally hit by a car while walking on a busy Yonkers street Monday night.

Police confirmed that a man was struck at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Monday night on Tuckahoe Road, prompting police to close a section of the roadway while they investigated the accident.

According to reports, the victim was a 32-year-old man from New Rochelle. His identity has not been made public as the investigation is ongoing.
