Man Faces Charges Of Using Fake ID At Yonkers DMV

YONKERS, N.Y. – A Bronx man was arrested and charged after he was accused of trying to use a fake Social Security card at the Yonkers DMV office on Tuesday, police said.

Richard Castro, 44, attempted to use the card to obtain a state identification card, police said, and was arrested and charged with having a fake ID and attempting to use it.

Castro was charged with a second-degree felony of criminal possession of a false instrument and a first-degree felony of offering a false instrument.

He was arraigned in Yonkers City Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail.
