The 1 a.m. attempted hold-up occurred at the Central Park Avenue BP gas station, said the report.
An employee there told the news agency a gun wielding man approached the window, telling him to "open the door," News 12 Westchester said.
The worker then ran and hid in a room with a locked door and window that is bullet proofed, then called police, according to the report.
The workers were not hurt and the man with the gun ran away without getting cash, said News 12 Westchester.
