English Thomas, 29, of Uniondale, N.Y., was convicted in February of four felony charges, including second-degree murder, in connection with the death of Sandra Hackley and the shootings of her husband, Rafael Cornielle, and their daughter.

He was sentenced Monday in State Supreme Court in White Plains.

Prosecutors say that on April 21, 2010, shortly before 7:30 pm, Hackley arrived home at her apartment with her husband and two daughters.

A man was recorded on video surveillance entering the apartment building under the ruse of delivering a package to Hackley.  Additional video surveillance in the lobby showed a second man had already entered the apartment building and was waiting near Hackley’s apartment.

When the victim’s husband opened the apartment door to accept the delivery, the two gunmen, identified by prosecutors later as Charles Parsley, 29, and Kasaun White, 30, both of Rockville Centre, pushed their way into the apartment and fired their handguns.

The victim’s husband was shot several times in the doorway before running into the street. Hackley was shot five times in the living room and died at the scene. Her 12-year-old daughter was shot once in the leg.

Prosecutors say Parsley and White ran through the front door of the building, out onto Yonkers Avenue, before getting into a dark colored pick-up truck driven by Thomas.

Yonkers police developed information that led them to the three suspects in Nassau County, prosecutors said.  No motive for the killing was determined.

Both Parsley and White have been previously convicted for their role in the shooting, with each sentenced to 75 years to life in state prison.
