William R. Marsden, 90, Of Yonkers, Retired St. John’s Hospital Employee

YONKERS, N.Y. - William R. Marsden, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Sept. 29. He was 90.

Marsden was born to Frank and Rose Maglio Marsden. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a longtime member of the Yonk-Heers A&S Club, a dairy manager at A&P for 40 years and worked at St. John's Hospital for 15 years before his retirement.

Marsden is survived by his son, William F. (Janet) Marsden; two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Lena Gizzi.

Calling hours are Oct. 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Flower Funeral Home Inc., 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. Religious service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment at Mt. Hope.
